Sanding and moving products with a Cobot

This system allows various types of products to be sanded fully automatically. Lightweight products can be picked up by the robot from an input stack and placed on a vacuum table (not shown below). The vacuum table is positioned on an extraction table that ensures dust removal. The desired sanding force can be set through the cobot's force control.

Once the first side of the product is finished, the cobot flips the product over, and the other side is sanded. Afterward, the cobot places the product on the output stack.

Using a tool-change system, the cobot can switch between a sander and a vacuum gripper.

Long products, up to 2500 mm, can also be sanded. Due to the weight of these products, they are placed and flipped manually.

To increase the cobot's reach, it is mounted on a weagon that can knows two positions.

When only small products are being sanded, part of the extraction table can be disconnected.
