Upgrade of an existing production machine

In collaboration with the customer, the following upgrades were made to an existing production machine:

- Twelve (three-phase) motors, including magnetic slip clutches and controls, were replaced with servo motors
- Various sensors were replaced with modern types, and several sensors were added
- Mechanical structures of different parts of the machine were modified and replaced
- To comply with CE requirements, safeguards were implemented for all hazardous moving parts
- The existing (relay) control system was replaced with a Siemens PLC control system with HMI
- Added logging, diagnostics, and connection to the company's database
- Optimization of the production process (elimination of existing issues, reduction of downtime, quality improvement)
